The APEAL lab is headed by Dr. Ian Colman, Associate Professor at the School of Epidemiology and Public Health and Canada Research Chair in Mental Health Epidemiology at the University of Ottawa. Our program of research examines a variety of long-term processes surrounding common mental disorders and their treatment, including suicidal behaviour. Our research has a particular focus on early developmental and environmental stressors, and the long-term outcomes of common mental disorders.
